This product page (Hand Sanitizer) simulates a low-value impulse purchase scenario — used to test how small-cart add_to_cart events and low-revenue purchase events are captured in GA4.
GA4 Events Tracked on This Page
- view_item: Fires on Page Load (Parameters: item_id, item_name, price).
- add_to_cart: Fires on ‘Add to Cart’ click (Parameters: item_id, quantity, price).
- begin_checkout: Fires on Checkout button click.
- purchase: Fires on Order confirmation page (Parameters: transaction_id, value).
All events are implemented via Google Tag Manager. WooCommerce pushes product data into the GTM dataLayer on each user interaction. GTM listens for these dataLayer events using Custom Event triggers and fires the corresponding GA4 Event tag.
Implementation Details: This product is part of a live tracking environment. For a full technical breakdown of the GA4 events, GTM architecture, and server-side tagging used here, visit the Sagar Merugu Analytics Lab: Implementation Documentation.
